
Global Sustainable Agriculture Institute in Japan New!Join a diverse group on an environmental service learning trip to Japan, where we will be hosted by the Tochigi YMCA and Asian Rural Institute (ARI). We’ll visit ecological and cultural sites, experience home-stays with Japanese families and participate in ARI’s Rural Leaders Training Program. We’ll engage in farm work, group gatherings and a sustainable food study with other leaders from multiple countries in Asia and Africa. Topping off our 13-day trip will be a day trip to Nikko and some free time in Tokyo! Trip Information Meetings: First pre-trip meeting will be held on Monday, Aug. 2, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Downtown Seattle YMCA (909 4th Avenue, Seattle WA 98104)

YMCA Global Teen Academy
During this once-in-a-lifetime experience, youth ages 14-18 will partake in a range of activities including home stays, leadership development, service projects, interacting with teens in other countries, visiting cultural historical sites, environmental studies and fun! YMCA Young Adult Leadership Camp in Thailand Join a delegation of young adults for a two-week service, leadership and cultural immersion trip to Thailand. This amazing experience includes a home stay and community-building project in rural Thailand, cross-cultural activities, leadership skill building and adventure trekking. Share the experience with young adult colleagues from Thailand, Japan and Laos.

| Host Family Program Every year our YMCA and generous volunteers host youth and staff from YMCAs abroad to learn about American culture and about our Y. The host family experience is an amazing way to learn about other cultures and develop wonderful global friendships. Some of our YMCA home stays have led to exchanges between families spanning multiple generations.
