Don't be fooled by the name - family camp isn't just for families! Come with a group of your best friends, people from your neighborhood, or enjoy a quiet weekend by yourself!

Family Camp

We have something for every member of your family! You can participate in activities as a family or as individuals. Your days can be filled with activities such as arts and crafts, kayaking, the Marine Science Center, the climbing wall or the farm. You can play camp games such as Life and Death in the Forest or enjoy a board game. Try a beach walk, hike in the forest or enjoy the scenery from the porch of the lodge. A campfire and sunset will complete your day.

Mothers Day Family Camp - May 7th - 9th
Fourth of July Family Camp - July 2nd - 5th
Pre-Labor Day Family Camp - Sept. 1st - 3rd 
Labor Day Family Camp - September 3rd-6th

Transportation To and From Camp Orkila for Family Camp:
Riding Washington State Ferries is part of the trip to Camp Orkila. To facilitate easier travel and shorter waits at the Anacortes ferry landing, Camp Orkila strongly encourages families to walk on the ferry and utilize the camp shuttle bus from the ferry to camp. Other transportation options include flying on Kenmore Air, (800) 543‑9595 or arriving by personal boat.

Womens Wellness Weekend
Tucked away on beautiful Orcas Island in the San Juans, YMCA Camp Orkila provides the ideal setting for a weekend getaway. Bring your friends and come enjoy the spectacular view of Presidents Channel and over 280 acres of beach and forest. Orkila is the perfect place to relax and play. Enjoy walks on the beach, archery, arts and crafts, biking in the forest, riflery, visits to the farm, kayaking, ropes course, climbing wall and giant swing. Strengthen your body with activities such as yoga, aerobics, kickboxing, circuit training and fitness walks Replenish your spirit with a massage, a walk on the beach or a facial. Creative crafts will include jewelry making, batiking, painting and pottery.

Family Camp & Womens Wellness Rates and Payments

Family Camp and Womens Wellness dates & rates

A 25% deposit is required for all Family Camp and Womens Wellness programs.  We accept cash, check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.  We do not accept American Express or Discover.

Deposits are transferable to another family camp in the same calendar year until 30 days prior to your visit. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 60 days of your visit, regardless of registration date. Final payments are due 1 week prior to the start of your family camp weekend or womens wellness weekend.  All camp fees non-refundable within one week of your visit. There are no refunds for no-shows. In the event of a participant medical injury or illness, deposit and program fees may be refundable with proper documentation.  Please allow 2-4 weeks for your refund to be processed.

If a program is cancelled by Camping Services, participants will receive a full refund or credit of all fees paid. No additional compensation will be provided. All refunds and credits will be made payable to the contact person.

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is a Membership Organization open to all people.  Through the generosity of donors, we are able to provide programs and services to those who may not otherwise be able to participate.  Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is available to those in need.

Financial Aid Application Process
To apply for financial assistance for any YMCA Camp Orkila or Camp Colman program please complete the following information and return to:

     - Confidential Financial Assistance Application Financial Assistance Application 
     - Completed registration form for your selected program.
     - A deposit of 25% is required to hold your spot.
     - Copy of last year's tax return (W2's alone are not enough to make an award)
     - Copy of social security, disability check, DSHS statement, or food stamp award
        in lieu of 2009 tax return if you do not submit a tax return.

Financial Assistance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.  Financial Assistance is available for one Women's Wellness or Family Camp weekend per family per calendar year.
