Partners With Youth Campaign (annual support)
The YMCA views youth as resources to be developed, not problems to be fixed. Each year, across greater Seattle, we help more than 69,000 children and teens.
In YMCA programs, caring adults work to help young people build a solid foundation based on developing lifetime skills, an ethic of service and the Y's core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, caring, faith and fun.
In 2009, the Partners With Youth Campaign raised more than $4.4 million.

Partners With Youth Annual Campaign
From its beginnings in 1876, the YMCA of Greater Seattle has been committed to opening its doors to everyone, regardless of income or life circumstances. This is one of our core values and a reason we have had such a profound impact on generations of kids and families. Throughout our history, we have consistently helped to build healthy bodies, nurture future leaders and create connections among diverse groups. We are determined to do so in 2010 and beyond.
The Time is Now
More than a quarter of our members and program participants require financial assistance and we continue to receive more and more requests for help. With today’s financial challenges and the increasing complexity of daily life, YMCA programs are more important than ever before.
This year’s Partners With Youth annual campaign will raise much-needed dollars for kids and families who desperately need the services the YMCA provides but who cannot afford the full cost. Whether it’s a working family for whom the YMCA’s child care is a lifeline in difficult times or a teenager on the verge of violence, the YMCA provides a safe and dependable place to be strong, healthy and successful.
A Track Record of Success
When you contribute to the Partners With Youth Campaign, you are making an invaluable investment in our shared future. In return, we steward your contribution carefully, directing 95 cents of every dollar raised into our programs and services. This is a remarkable achievement and one reason the YMCA of Greater Seattle is ranked among the top tier of charities nationally.
Our Goal is Ambitious
Our goal this year is $4,602,000 to ensure that YMCA programs are available to everyone. On behalf of thousands of kids, families and our larger community who directly benefit from your support and campaign efforts, thank you for your dedication!

Building Our Future
There are many ways your gift directly impacts children and teens. Gifts can be paid in full or in 10 monthly payments.
$2,000/month ($20,000)
Gives Association matching support for one Youth Development Director. Each branch Youth Development Director serves as a mentor, activity leader and positive role model in the lives of young people.
$1,000/month ($10,000)
Provides a month of housing for seven formerly homeless young people.
$500/month ($5,000)
Supports paid internships and job training for four young adults transitioning out of foster care.
$250/month ($2,500)
Gives three young people the gift of an unforgettable week at our resident camps.
$150/month ($1,500)
Supports two months of preschool care for families.
$100/month ($1,000)
Provides funding for one student to Y.U. Learn - a summer academic improvement program for Seattle middle school residents.
