Two Ways You Can Help
|
It's All About Community! Capital Campaign The YMCA of Greater Seattle is in the midst of a capital campaign to build three new comprehensive, state-of-the-art facilities in the Seattle metro and Eastside areas. The new Highline YMCA, which is planned to open in fall 2009, will serve 10,100 more individuals each year than our current facility. |

YMCA Partners With Youth Annual Campaign In 2007, the Highline YMCA served 4,900 youth and teens through a wide range of innovative programs to help them succeed in school and life. The YMCA Partners With Youth Campaign provides the much-needed dollars that sustain these programs. With 95 cents of every dollar raised going directly to programs, your contribution to the campaign is a solid investment in our shared future. |

Success Stories
"My daughter is eight years old and has a family history of high blood pressure and diabetes. Our family doctor was concerned about Nicole adopting a healthy lifestyle early-on and recommended the Strong Kids program at the Highline YMCA. Nicole now reads nutrition labels, encourages the whole family to go for a walk or ride a bike instead of watching TV. She is more willing to try new foods and is enjoying cooking healthy snacks - she even turns down junk food - her whole approach to health has changed for the better!"
Olympia, Strong Kids parent
"As a single mom, I depend on the YMCA child care program. I love that my son gets his homework done, has a healthy snack, participates in fun activities, and has an opportunity to run around and play games!"
