Why invest in positive solutions?
Help make your community a better place through the YMCA.  Join with donors who share belief that regardless of the challenges children, teens or families face, their unique talents can be strengthened.  Your donation supports YMCA programs and facility development, the critical tools that give vulnerable community members a greater chance for success.

What will my gift do?
For more than 40 years in the Auburn community, the YMCA has earned its reputation for innovation and effectiveness in a diverse range of programs that bring out the best in people.  The support of generous donors helps guarantee that this commitment will continue for generations to come.

Contributions to the YMCA Partners With Youth Campaign support positive, values-based programs for children and families. Your donation stays in our community, with 95 cents of every dollar going to life-enhancing programs and financial assistance.

Here are a few ways your gift directly impacts children and teens:

Girls of Promise
An after-school service learning/ leadership development program that promotes life long community involvement. The program is currently offered at Cascade, Mt. Baker, and Olympic Middle Schools to girls in grades 6-8. Cost to sponsor one child: $100.00 (example: $25 per quarter would sponsor one teenage girl in this leadership program)

Youth and Government
YMCA Youth and Government provides with the opportunity to experience the democratic process first-hand. Students meet in the fall and learn how to write legislation, use parlimentary procedure, speak publicly and persuasively, and compromise to achieve a goal. Students take on a variety of roles, including Representative, Senator, lobbyist, reporter, and page. In addition to these positions, there are a number of elected positions such as Governor and Secretary of State that provide participants with expanded opportunites to develop as leaders amongst their peers. Our current delegation is comprised of area home-school students, and we meet once a week at Auburn City Hall. Cost to sponsor 1 teen: $375.00 (example: your gift of $40 per month would sponsor one teen to participate in this fantastic program)

Before and After School Childcare
During the school year, the YMCA offers a safe, quality, convenient, before and after school program, which serves local schools in Kent and Auburn.
Cost to sponsor 1 child for 1 month: Up to 400.00 depending on type of care. (example: for $40 per month you can help one family have quality childcare for a whole month this year.

Summer Camp

During the summer, kids in grades 1st-6th can participate in our Day Camp program & Camp Osceola where they can play, swim, go on field trips, do art projects, meet new friends and learn Outdoor Living Skills for a lifetime of recreation in the outdoors.

Cost to sponsor 1 child: $150.00 per week. (example: for two payments of $75 you could join me in sponsoring one child at Y Day Camp this year).
