| The Metrocenter YMCA focuses exclusively on teens and young adults, ensuring that our young people are fully and holistically prepared to be successful and engaged in work, in the community and in life. Metrocenter's programs include youth employment training; GED preparation, school credit retrieval and high school re-entry; youth violence prevention; girls' and boys' leadership development; technology skills training; youth environmental education; and young adult civic involvement. Since 1973, Metrocenter YMCA has been a catalyst sparking youth and young adults to take risks to create innovative solutions to the challenges facing our city and our world. Metrocenter programs have transcended economic and cultural barriers, making life better for thousands of people in the Seattle/King County area. Last year, Metrocenter served over 5000 teens and young adults with its programs. |
