Everyone is Welcome
The YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. The YMCA welcomes women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation, abilities and financial circumstances.  Programs and branches embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the communities they serve.

The best way to get started is to come in for a visit...

Our Members Services Desk is located to the left as you enter the building from our northern entrance.

Interested in finding out more?
A trained YMCA staff member or volunteer will be happy to answer your questions regarding membership and the types of programs and offerings that would best help you reach your goals. When you come in ask for a Welcome Visit at the Member Services Desk.

If you're ready to join...

Financial assistance is available...
The Downtown Seattle YMCA provides financial assistance to the extent possible to those in need.  Eligibility is determined by taking your gross annual household income (i.e. income before taxes and deductions) and applying that amount to the federal poverty level guidelines. We also take into consideration how many people are supported by that income. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed and a written response will be sent to you within one week. It is imperative that your address be accurate. Assistance will be granted on a first come, first served basis.

Financial Assistance is granted for a maximum of one year.
At the end of each year, you will need to re-apply for financial assistance.

We look forward to seeing you!
