Traditional Seekers: Grades 3-5

Coed, entering grades 3-5 in the fall of 2017. 
Seekers get a great introduction to the overnight camp experience.  Living in mixed-gender units, while sleeping in single-gender cabins, campers get a taste of all that camp has to offer, including the swimming pool, arts and crafts center, rope-course elements, the marine salmon center and much more.  Campers also enjoy an overnight adventure under the stars at Orkila’s Enchanted Forest campsite (on property).

Traditional Explorers: Grades 5-8

Coed, entering grades 5-8 in the fall of 2017.
Explorers focus on teamwork and skill building around camp.  Living in mixed-gender units, while sleeping in single-gender cabins, Explorers participate in advanced rope activities (like our 1000 foot-long zipline), have additional open recreation periods (free choice time,) and repeat some of their favorite games and activities.  For their out-of-cabin experience, campers embark on an overnight trip to Twin Lakes, Satellite Island, or Sucia Island.

Traditional Challengers: Grades 8-10

Coed, entering grades 8-10 in the fall of 2017.
Traditional Challengers is the first step in Orkila’s Leadership Progression.  Living in mixed-gender units, while sleeping in single-gender cabins, Challengers have the most advanced challenge course opportunities, riding Orkila’s giant swing and zipline.  They have additional open recreation periods and take on an increased leadership role with younger campers. Challengers enjoy 24 hours on Satellite Island or at Twin Lakes for their out-of-cabin experience.
