Below are a sample of volunteer opportunities that we have.
Homeless Youth Program Volunteer - Volunteers set up/clean up drop in areas, help supervise sign in and dining area, hand out hygiene items and towels, interact and build relationships with program participants. Must be at least 20 years old.
Kids University Mentor - Assist in the facilitation of Kids University after-school program offering educational and sports oriented classes to elementary age children. The ability to act as a strong role model for our program participants is key to this role.
Assistant Day Camp Counselor - To help facilitate small group activities and assist in field trop coordination. Must be willing to be outdoors, work with kids 6-11 years old and willing to assist with coordinating hiking and various other indoor and outdoor activities.
Family Program Assistant - Assist in facilitating culturally relevant and age appropriate activities for children 6 months to 5 years. Assist in supervising children in a positive, fun, safe environment. Enforce safety rules and guidelines.
Special Event Volunteer - Help us with free community events. Help set up and clean up programming area, and participate in special event programming at our YMCA branch and/or school sites. Special events include: Healthy Kids Day, Barbeques, Holiday Open House and many other event opportunities.
Administrative Assistant - We are looking for detail orientated individuals to help in our administrative office. Get a behind the scenes look at how the YMCA operates by assisting with office related duties. Proficiency with computers, internet and Microsoft Office applications are key to this position.
