Jim Slyfield has been a member of the Northshore YMCA since 2013 and volunteer bus driver since 2015. Jim is incredibly generous with his time as a volunteer driver and leader for our Active Older Adult hiking and field trip programs. He has also driven the YMCA bus to pick up donated food from local high school food drives that support the Y’s Hunger Initiative programs and offered time to supervise new volunteer drivers. Jim always makes participants feel welcome and safe when they are with him. He is a huge champion for introducing people to the benefits of exercising outdoors and an avid hiker and skiier.
